What are the best letters to use for a first name, letters only?

A new trend is just to give a child an initial, like L. Kennedy, so that is their name: L, what are the best letters in the alphebet to use as first names? I first saw this in a boy, his name was J Bradshaw, just J, nothing else. It seems very cutting edge! I am thinking about doing it for my twins, but which letters?

What are the best letters to use for a first name, letters only?
cool! i love "L"
Reply:PLEASE DON'T do that ! A trend is just that...it's the thing of the moment ..... it lasts for a short while .

Your new children on the other hand ARE NOT TRENDS ! They are human beings that will have to live with their stupid parents whim for the next 70 -80 years.

Give them a real name and if your h*ll bent on the initial thing then use it as your own personal nickname for your children.

How it has been in the past is that people go by their initial when they DON' T like the name they where given .

Like naming your little boy Sue Michael Smith--- S.Michael Smith

or H. Jones for Horace Jones
Reply:I will probably get about a thousand thumbs down for this.

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO YOUR CHILD!!???

This is almost as bad as those Chinese parents who wanted to name their child a number. A name should be an identity. How can you identify with an initial.

Here are some alternatives to just one letter.

Using the initials from the first and middle name as a nickname. ie. JP; BJ , or TJ

Using a name that sounds like an inital:

Kay, Jay, Elle, Em, Tea, and Bea.
Reply:Well, I think it's a silly idea, but I think the following would be okay because they sound like names or nicknames anyway...

D (sounds like "Dee" nn for Delores)

J (sounds like "Jay" nn for Jason, or a name itself)

K (sounds like "Kay" a name itself)

L (sounds like "Elle" a name itself)

M (sounds like "Em" nn for Emily)
Reply:I am sorry but that sounds crazy, why would you want to do that to your child that you love with all your heart. Name you baby Rylee and call her R until she is 5 years old when she looks at you and says "Can you please call me my name, I think one letter is S-T-U-P-I-D". And that is exactly how she is going to do it when she is learning her alphabets at school.
Reply:I would have to agree that its a bad idea to name your children stickly a letter. But there are plenty of names that sound like a letter but are actually a name. There are even some that are not as common as most if that would make you feel better.

Dee

Jay

Elle

Emme

Bea

Tea

Kay

Que

Reply:My son is Daniel J and my daughter is Kali J.

D would be ok or M for a girl.

T for a boy, other than that, nothing sounds right to me.

*note dont use BJ!!!

If you have a boy twin and a girl twin you can call them M%26amp;M,one with nuts and one without ;-)
Reply:I had a teacher once who named his son T Clark. The T didn't stand for anything and I thought it was the coolest thing in the world. I bet he was the first child in his kindergarten class to learn how to spell his name.
Reply:Don't do that - your kids will have to go around saying - my name is J - just the letter!

Peple will constantly say - Jay. and your child will probably just end up changin it to that anyway to avoid all the confusion.
Reply:A.J.

O.J.

B.J.

C.J.

D.J.

D.L.

C.C.

T.J.

hope this helped you out.
Reply:B.... maybe...

I think it would be a more interesting name if you tried to get his or her initials to spell something... like A.R.T. ... or something like that.
Reply:z and x cuz those r not common n ur baby names can be like the weird baby names celebrities babys
Reply:How about BS? That's what giving a child a letter for a name is - BS!
Reply:I would go with my favorite letters, K and A!
Reply:M%26amp;N would be cool for twins :D
