Should you use a first name that starts with the same letter as your last name?

I was just going through some baby names. And I was wondering if you think it sounds strange to pick a first name that starts with the same letter as your last name?

Examples:

Megan Mack

Mallory Mack

Bentley Brown

Brittany Brown

Silas Smith

Sasha Smith

So on, and so forth. What is your opinion?

Thanks!

Should you use a first name that starts with the same letter as your last name?
It's not as bad as having the same first name as the last name; for example let's take Garrett Dean Garrett or Davis Lee Davis; now that's really confusing. It's just fine; there's nothing to worry about.
Reply:thats fine to me. I think it gives it a nice 'ring' to their name. like it just goes together. I would stay away from initials that sound bad like P.P.....kids are funny and mean. They don't know any better
Reply:Actually, I think it quite nice to have both names starting on the same letter.
Reply:I think some names sound ok and others don't.

Don't like: Megan Mack/Mallory Mack, Silas Smith

Does sound right: Bently Brown, Brittany Brown, Sasha Smith.
Reply:mine used to, until i got married, I was Stephanie Secrest.
Reply:I don't think it's strange, I think it's fine. As long as the name sounds good overall, I don't think the beginning letters of each name matter.
Reply:I think it's fine my sons initals are KEK and besides you never know who your going to marry and what if the new hubbys last name starts with the same letter as your first name.
Reply:It depends. Sometimes it sounds ok, sometimes it doesn't.
Reply:It depends, sometime the names flow:

ex. Christina Colby.

And sometimes they dont:

ex. Lisa Lee

I think that the other letters in both names need to be considered, and the names need to be said out loud. If the names flow well, then why not?
Reply:There's nothing wrong with that, if you like the name, then

do it.
Reply:You could, Im sure it would be the first. As long as it sounded good
Reply:It worked for Marilyn Monroe.
Reply:I think it fine and i know a few ppl who have a 1st name with same letter as ther last althou for me i would include a middle name aswel...just to break it down.
Reply:If you like it, go for it.
Reply:As long as the name doesn't sound too similar to the surname, I think it's fine

Mallory Mack sounds fine to me but Bentley Brown is too close
Reply:I don't think it's strange as long as it flows well...
Reply:People like alliterative names like that. They are considered strong and are used a lot in fiction, stage names (Marilyn Monroe) and superhero names (Clark Kent)
Reply:thats a stupid question, well i wouldnt but if you really love the name, go for it
Reply:I don't see the problem :)
Reply:No lots of those have it.
Reply:i think its really cute its your choice though noone can decide that for you but thats my opinion
Reply:It is not unheard of some people like that others like to try to make them ryme. If you like it and you think the child can live with it when she is yoru age go with it
