Face facts - that is just one of those jobs that will never be recognised and people rarely care who it is that cleans up after them. There are many such professions out there and we would be lost without those people doing those things for us... would you like to be the person who cleans out the sewage pipes?

Reply:Hmm... :| I didn't see a janitor. The school was just magically clean the next day. However, I was told that his name was Rufus. If he dressed like a woman, I'll never know.
However, that was in one of the many elementary schools i attended. I don't know about high school or university.

One of the best things a teacher (or student for that matter), can do is get to know the people who really keep the school running. They are not only handy to have on your side when it comes to needing something, but they know a lot of handy info too. (and quite often are just nice, interesting people.
