How do i find my family history without a deceased ones first name?

You'll have to snoop around and ask a lot of older family members some probing questions. Look for clippings in albums, funeral home cards, old photos with names on the back, copies of birth certificates or marriage licenses, etc. Ask your parents and grandparents about their heritage and for a basic tree on each of them. When I started out, I drew up a basic tree chart (and you can now get them free at the Mormon Family Search site) and I mailed one to everyone in the family who I could find...even my grandparents' aunts/uncles, cousins, etc. I asked them to send anything they had that might help me. To my wonderous surprise, my grandmother's sister kept EVERYTHING from her parents and she had copies of photos made going all the way back to a wedding picture from 1889. Somebody in your family already knows the answers. You just have to ask the question.

Rely on what other information you have and then match it. It would be really lucky for you to locate them if you have other info other than names like address and birth date or place. You might want to try it in this website, www.web-detective.com/index1.aspx. Good luck!
Reply:That depends on what else you have. Your question is impossible to answer with the facts given.
