I usually make up names, like Santonio, or Horatio, but is this lame of me?

Its always hilarious at the pizza place when 'George Clooney' or 'Brad Pitt' is called over to pick up his food.
Reply:Oh yes, I do it ALL the time! Only I usually don't plan ahead, and try to just come up with one on the spot... that definitely doesn't work for me, because the first name that comes to mind is usually Stavros, Fabio, Fernando, or some other random name that I find a bit hilarious...the reason that doesn't work is because I'm obviously a girl.... so they KNOW I'm bluffing...





I usually only get the chance to do this when we eat supper after away basketball games... And the most fun thing to do then, of course, is to use the name of one of the people behind you. It's great, then they'll walk up there, thinking they're getting their own food...





My other friend always just thinks up something on the spot, also... only hers don't usually come out as names... they're like "um cowsnickle wubby shumness...." haha, so she just rambles something out and ends up just saying her real name.





I also love to do REALLY complicated names, to see if they can even spell it right. Like once I was "Alacrisanthe", which was prnounced al - uh cris - ann - thuh... haha, it was great. Or other times I just try to surprise them with as weird of a name I can possibly think of. I've used the name of my friend's sister...Punky...she has brothers named Scooter, Scooter, Tracer, Racer, and Chaser, also... I've also said that my name was "Suede", or I've glanced at their name tag and used their name. ;)





So yes, I always make up a random name...depending on how quickly I can think one up. It's great fun though, it spices up the entire meal. ;)

Reply:not so much, when they used to ask for a last name i used to give smith or jones because my maiden last name was a long italian name that people ruined.


i did used to give a fake name (before i was married w kids) when a guy at a bar was hitting on me and i wasn't that interested, my favorites were, "hi i'm natasha, or hi i'm phoebe" lol
Reply:ohmygosh I LOVE DOING THAT!!! its so incredibly fun!! one time, me and my friends were starbucks and they asked for our names so we used the months of year. I was October, and my friends were April, June, and July. It was sooo funny because the look on the cashier's face was priceless!! he was like "whaaa..? october, april, june and july..? okay..." LOL!!!!
Reply:I always "say" that I'm going to do that...but when the time comes I kinda panic and just give them my real name. I think I need to just come up with a pseudonym of two that I can use, and maybe if I have it preplanned I would be more likely to do it.
Reply:I always make up names. My husband and I were at Fuddruckers and gave our names as Eberhard and Uricha, and our kids were giving us weird looks. And at Starbucks I always give my name as Spork or Shoelace, except the cashier never believes me.

So they were calling "Baxter and Hortence" for like 2 minutes until we finally realized, "OH, that's us!"
Reply:No.Usually the only restaurants I go to or order from are around me.And people know me so they already(I live in a small town) put my real name down.But if I go to one people do not know me then yes I think I will.

Once my friend was prank calling someone, and all she had to do for the person to realize she was prank calling was say, " Hi, I'm Candy..."
Reply:It's totally awesome. I do it all the time, especially when ordering pizza over the phone. It's entertaining when my dad goes to pick it up and I forget to tell him the code name XD

I went to a burrito joint in Boston after school with a friend. After ordering I gave the name 'Sabathia'. They seemed to know Haha.
Reply:I do it sometimes when there's a lot of people. I've been Celia, Evie, and Lilac before.


And my dad's been Edgar a few times. :)
