What do you think of changing your first name?

I've always wanted to change my name 'cause I don't like it, it's too common. But I don't think I would ever do it 'cause it would be too weird. All your friends and family would of course know you by the name you had your whole life, then it's suddenly totally different. So many people you knew would still call you by your first name, and others you knew would think "why did she change her name, that's weird, she's not (name), she'll always be (name). What do you think, would you ever do it if you really wanted to?

Reply:well. to be honest. i changed my name when i was ten. some people still call me by my old name. it doesnt bother me that much.
